My bill for the Sunday i spent in the ER was $1667.

I paid $748.

My insurance paid $1500.

What's wrong? You forgot the premiums you paid for the month, maybe 250 from you and 350 from your employer? :D

Heh.. seriously though, the insurance 'math' is nuts. You have mandatory set ER fees that you are responsible for, then adjustments, then insurance paid, then insurance adjusted, then in about 3-6 months you will get another bill for everything your insurance didn't fork over.
