The Good:

My house inspection was today. He said it was built and maintained better than similar houses. He told me "You got a good one." Bonus: the attic contains two chests of drawers, an aquarium and several boxes of womens shoes.

Leinkugels Fireside Nut Brown is a yummy beer.

The bad:

Went to the sleep therapist today. This is the their one. I'm starting back at square one. I go in Thursday night for one of those overnight sleep studies.

The ugly:

My knee is swollen and painful for going on a week now. I may have to have surgery on it.

I have a torn lateral meniscus in that knee from years ago when I got off a motorcycle before stopping. I did physical therapy at the beginning of the year to see if I could strengthen it. It seemed to work, but after going to the gym last week it started swelling. I don't remember twisting it or anything. All I did in the gym was an hour on the elliptical.

My right knee swells too. I refuse to have any type of surgery though, and just take arthritis meds instead.
The meds relieve the pain at least, and make the swelling go down somewhat.

Why do you refuse to have surgery?

I have a bakers cyst actually, and surgery would just be draining the cyst. It will just fill with fluid all over again, and I dont want to deal with all that pain for nothing.

Couldn't they drain the cyst without surgery? Just a really big needle?

I was remembering some thread on I think Fetish Gossip discussing all the surgery you had. I think they said you had your boobs enlarged, your nose reduced, and your penis removed. Apparently a knee is just not gossip-worthy :)

Of course! How else would I have found out you used to be a man, Jsin was using secret room as a front to sell underage girls into slavery and Beth and Ruby were stealing mens' kidneys? Did I forget anything?

elliptical can aggravate, my knee hated that machine. Maybe you just pushed it a little too much. Give it some rest and advil, maybe it will de-puff.

hooray for the house.

I was wondering about the knee, what with the meniscus tear and all. My bil, who had a meniscus tear, said the arthroscopic surgery was amazing since he actually had less pain after the surgery than before... so, sucks, but if it comes to that, I hope the surgery helps that quickly. (my orthopaedist thinks my knee may never go back to 'normal' again, and I am refusing to accept that)

Awesome news on the house. Sorry to hear about the sleep therapist and the knee, though. Anything I could do to help with either?
