I just got word that they will accept my offer on the house in Capitol View. The location is a bit off the beaten path (6.2 miles to the Highlander!) but it's a beautiful house on a hill across the street from a park. There's tons of room inside, and a tiny fenced back yard.

Pray the inspector doesn't find termites or mold or poltergeists.

Dude, being white and working a day job is going to make living there *rough* for you. The house looks cool but there's no way I'd move on to that street unless I had a roommate or something that would ensure someone was almost always home.

The neighborhood has actually got a lot better in the last few years. A mile or so north in Pittsburgh and Adair Park is still pretty rough, but south of the train tracks is not bad.

My brother's going to be my roommate, and he works a later shift. Between that and the security system I'm not too worried.
