This week seems to have put many of my friends in a foul mood. I feel mildly guilty about being so happy. My first paycheck comes in two weeks. I may have to make mental-health lasagna with it. Fresh marinara, grilled veggies and lots of Prozac.

The three books I'm currently reading:

Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlossen
A Cooks Tour by Anthony Bourdain
Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christoper Moore

I saw a guy yesterday who looked like a scale model of Ernest Hemmingway. Short white hair and beard, barrel chest and not an inch over 5 feet tall.

How's Fast Food Nation thus far?

I should really go to the library or something. And yay for the new job going along smoothly thus far. :)

Interesting. Part of it is about how fast food is part of the evil-global-megacorp thing, parts are about how the food is processed and unhealthy, parts about how the people made it such a huge industry. All in all a worthy read.

You have to let me know how you like Lamb .. and if the giggling every few pages (sometimes every few paragraphs) was just me or it was actually the book ... :)

Don't feel guilty. After this long, you deserve to be back on track and satisfied with it.

It's not your fault that people are in a bad mood. Unless it is. In which case, cut it out already.

Besides, I'm in a better mood already, and I hope the same is true for your other friends.
