Fogo Gaucho opened in Downtown this week. Who's up for ODing on meat at lunch sometime soon?

In other news, here's a plan for mothers day silliness:

1. Hear from Aunt Addie (aka Mom II: The Revenge!) that uncle Al is flying out to Seattle monday morning. Apparently he's going to catch a halibut. That's right, A halibut. Singular. They let you catch one.

2. Make plans to go out for Dim Sum with Aunt Addie for dim sum at Canton House Sunday.

3. Arrive at Canton House. Discover it is a gutted shell of a building. Closed for remodeling until July.

4. Decide to head up the street to Litte Sezchuan for chinese food.

5. Arrive at Little Sezchuan and discover they do not open for an hour.

5. Decide to head to La Fonda on Peachtree.

6. Arrive at La Fonda, discover they do not open for another 30 minutes.

7. Go have coffee at Starbucks.

8. Retun to La Fonda for lunch.

I love nonprofits, personally. I just took a 3.5 hour "lunch" to go up to the Gwinnett County fairgrounds for a Lotus Elise ride and drive day. OMG, I want one more than ever.

It's one halibut per person with fishing license per day. Heh, it's great. You can catch a halibut and claim you "limited" (caught your limit of fish). I still haven't limited with salmon (and they are usually 2 per day depending on salmon. Four if it's pink and one I think if it's chinook).

He went last year for salmon. My aunt was joking that after plane fare, hotel, etc the salmon cost $163 a pound.

For future reference...

JUST down the street from Canton House (well... up the street) is Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. Take a left on that and head down about a quarter mile and Royal China is on your right. EXCELLENT dim sum on par with Canton House (and equally crowded, of course).... in case you still get a craving.
