Decompressing

Last weekend I went to Transformus. It was the sixth one I went to and marked the fifth anniversary of my being a burner. Fourth of July weekend in 2005 Steve and I went up to DC to visit Cynthia, who was living there at the time. We met Jeremy, Christine and Sean, burner friends of hers. We managed to blow off all serious plans to see fireworks and the like and just spent the entire night hanging out. They mentioned they were going to a burn in North Carolina called Transformus. I'd always wanted to go to Burning Man, and this talk of a regional version had me interested. We went and it changed our lives.
