Some days there are things I just love about the south. Waffle House is one of them.
I work at Georgia Tech in the School of Industrial Engineering. Most of the work involved with industrial engineering is stuff like supply chains, assembly lines, etc. Boring. We have a subsection called Humanitarian Logistics, who figure out the best way to distribute supplies in a disaster area or vaccinate children and so on. Recently they had a conference where all the big people in Humanitarian Logistics got together. One of the people who talked at the conference was Bert Thornton, President of Waffle House.
( Because Waffle House is badass )
