Goddamn cats
Nov. 10th, 2006 04:15 pmSo Happy Fun Ball has gone insane. Starting Wednesday night has been on edge and hissing at General Tso any time he comes near. By "near" I mean "in the same room as".
Last night she was in my lap when Tso walked in. She started hissing at him and I tried to calm her down. This resulted in her taking a huge bite of my hand. Four good punctures right where the thumb meets the palm of my right hand.
I woke up this morning and my whole thumb hurts. I can barely move it. I go to the doctor, who gives me antibiotics. She said it should start hurting more before it gets better. Dammit.
Hadley took Happy to the vet for me yesterday to get her checkup and see if anything was wrong with her. Aside from a possible irritable bowel due to stress, she's fine. She's still hissing at Tso, and he's still looking at her like he has no idea what's wrong.
The only suggestion that has made any sense is that Tso's smell has changed, and instead of smelling like Tso to her, he smells like a foreign cat. This is possible because on Wednesday Hadley set the oven on fire trying to cook a pizza, and had to use the fire extinguisher to put it out. That might have contributed to the insanity.
