democracy inaction....
Nov. 5th, 2006 02:35 pmPeople keep talking about where they need to go to vote. I voted three weeks ago at my mailbox. Hooray for absentee ballots.
Some people say that just makes it easier for the great conspiracy to "lose" my ballot. Well, neither of our Senators are up for reelection this year, and I'm in John Lewis House district. The Republicans don't even bother to run a candidate against Lewis anymore.
I'm hoping the Democrats win big. I don't think they will make things much better. I do think with a majority they will spend the next two years mercilessly fucking with the Bush administration at every possible opportunity. Payback's a bitch.
So Tuesday I can avoid lines and buggy voting machines and all that stuff. I'll kick back with a beer, watch the Daily Show and have some fun.
