Holiday-free post

To go against the flow of "Merry Christmas" posts, I will offer no specific holiday greetings today. Instead I will say that I hope none of you are run over by a bus, mauled by wolverines, beaten by nuns on PCP or otherwise injured, killed or inconvenienced today.
