(no subject)

So yesterday after work was my first day of gym time in two weeks. Two weeks of smoking, drinking, bad food, no sleep and other fun stuff. I managed to do just over an hour on the elliptical at cardio levels. Burned 1000 calories! Yay me!

Then I get a call from High School Friend A. It seems High School Friend B is in town from California for a day or two. So we gather up High School Friends C-E and head to the Brewhouse to catch up, gossip, etc.

At one point, A says C has an announcement.

Us: "What?!"

C: "I came out to my family." (He's been out to us for about 10 years now)

Us: "How did it go?"

C: "Great! Too great! They're freaking me out! Dad's always calling to see if I want to hang out. My mom and my aunt bought me a whole new wardrobe, and my brother just laughed and said 'I knew. I was just waiting for you to admit it'."

Us: "That's great!"

C: "Mom asked if she can throw me a coming out party! This is too wierd."

Funny that this all happens in Cobb County, where the 'gay lifestyle' is not approved of. :)

As a result of my workout caused exhaustion, I failed to make it to karaoke and crashed at midnight. Then I slept till 10:30am. Go me.
