Back to school...

It's on the verge of one of my favorite times of the year. The very-late-summer, very-early-fall time when it's not too hot, not too cold. Back when I was in school this time started right around the beginning of fall quarter. (That's right. Fall quarter. Semesters are the work of the devil.) I used to love to wander the campus, smoking cigarettes and enjoying the air. Now, alas, I don't smoke anymore.

Speaking of school, I applied to GSU this week. When Spring semester starts in January I'll be eligible for free tuition. Returning to school seems to be happening to quiescere and improbable as well. We are all older and wiser now then we were when we started as 18 year old freshmen. No more mature though.

Interesting things this weekend. DragonCon is in town. I'll probably descend on it tomorrow night with a crowd intent on drunken hellraising, picture taking and general madness. Also, daonnan is at Burning Man. I gave her a couple of cameras and some rolls of film. Hopefully she will get some cool pictures I can post in a week or two.

weetanya complained that she's bored and wanted me to post something interesting. Problem is, all the stuff she would want to hear I can't tell her. Probably a good thing too, because her head would explode. Let's just say that she picked the wrong year to move. :)
