Yesterday I hit the gym for a long workout. An hour on the elliptical trainer, burning 970 calories. I got nice and sweaty.
My old routine used to be workout, shower, ride Marta home. With the arrival of summer my workout suddenly became workout, shower, ride Marta home then shower again. Something about 90-degree Georgia humidity just makes me sweat.
So now I skip the shower and head straight for the train home. While this makes things faster for me, my fellow train riders tend to look at me a bit funny. For some reason a 6-foot, 250 lb bald guy drenched in sweat is not the person most people want to be jammed up against in a crowded train. Go figure.
So I'm looking forward to fall with great anticipation. Cooler temps, shorter days, and the ability to ride the train home without looking like I'm having an attack of some kind.
