What is a 10-87?

Disappearing a dead hooker from Ben Affleck's trailer...

Wow. Long time no post. Friday was Highlandering with many people for Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. I loved it. But then I'm a fan of Kevin Smith and lots of in-jokes.

Saturday was Secret Room. Wes and Di were all shiny in their petroleum based clothing. I really need to get a job so I can buy some vinyl. The Impotent Sea Snakes played a hell of a show up in Heaven. I wish I had brought my camera, but there seems to be dozens of guys with digital cameras now.

I find it ironic that both the Sea Snakes and Secret Room are known for their outrageous shows yet they are both stuck in Atlanta, where good old blue laws keep them from doing anything more than bondage-lite and electrical tape on the nipples. I need to try a fetish night somewhere outside the Bible belt.

Sunday was a trip to Sams Club to replace my bald tires. Expensive, but a necessity if I'm going to go back to driving for Padre Juans.

In Ibiza it's no-holds-barred. Some of the dancers are totally nude, some are clad in miscellaneous rubber or vinyl that covers nothing important. The shows are the same way, performers even have sex on the stages. There's the difference between a devoutly Catholic country and a Baptist one... =/

Sigh. Years of Club Fetish, The Chamber, Secret Room, The Clermont Lounge and the internet have left me jaded. America is too uptight. Georgia especially so.

I wanted to go to Torture Garden when I was in London this spring, but alas they were not doing anything the week I was there...

Here's a question. I've seen what you wear to clubs. What would you wear if it was anything goes like in Ibiza?

[identity profile] lorigami.livejournal.com 2001-08-27 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I started working in clubs before I was really old enough to get into them, so I guess I have a slightly warped idea of what to wear when going out. My main concern has always been not getting too hot or tangled up in my clothes while dancing, and I still don't understand people who get offended at the sight of skin. Now, though, I have to respect the fact that I have a boyfriend who'd rather I not always dance in tape and a thong. This factors more into what I wear than the crowd or the damn laws do. =)
And as an aside... the laws here are a lot more lax than people realize. It is usually the management of the establishment that enforces any "dress code". One halloween several years ago, I actually got asked to leave the Chamber, even though the cop at the door said I was perfectly legal. Apparently, I pissed off a handfull of female employees with my costume. =/

Wow. Just what were you wearing?

As for the dress code, I though the legal minimum was a G-string and something covering nipples.

I'm still waiting for someone to use one of those little Polaroid cameras with sticky film to take pictures of nipples and use them as pasties.

OMFG!!!!
That is hilarious. I agree. This *must* be done.
And yes, minimum is g-string and *something* covering nipples, but that something can be clear nail polish if one so desired.
And I was wearing body paint. I was the Venus de Milo that Halloween.

And people were offended?? Jesus, I swear, people coming to these places should be made to sign slips saying "Anyone entering must agree to not be offended by ANYTHING, short of unwelcome physical violence directed towards YOU, else go the fuck home and watch I Love Lucy reruns, loser."

Anyway.

Funny thing was, it was *employees* that got bent out of shape... I don't get it either...
=/

lucy can't dance!

Yay! Someone else likes this song!

this conversation will, sadly, take place sans-body painting. sorry! you wouldn't want to see me in that. oh yeah, you've seen me without that.

anyway.

i thought i'd join you in your high praise of J and S ...

i loved it. i loved the fact that they made so much fun of ben affleck and matt damon. i loved the gross, blatant objectification of women, and i thought faith kicked ass.

i loved the inside jokes. or, perhaps i should use the more eloquent words of Jay: "Jersey represent!"

...amazingly apropos use of both leia and luke.

no plot really, but what the fuck? it was sort of a going away party for them, except ...

i see the inevitable '20 years later' movie. do you ?
