The vatican just released a list of seven "social sins"

1. "Bioethical" violations such as birth control
2. "Morally dubious" experiments such as stem cell research
3. Drug abuse
4. Polluting the environment
5. Contributing to widening divide between rich and poor
6. Excessive wealth
7. Creating poverty

Um, i think they are pretty guilty of number 6 themselves.

so wait. MAN decides sin now? where in the Bible does it say "Though Shalt not take birth control." God forgive me if it does somewhere and I just proved what a bad Christian I am, but COME ON!

They've interpreted the story of Onan to mean you should only have sex to make a kid. Also to not masturbate. I think their interpretations are wrong on both counts, but that's where it comes from.

ouch. i've apparently, despite baptism, prayer and semi-regular church attendance, OH! and not to mention strong faith and beliefs, bought myself a ticket to hell. AWESOME. :)
