Korea - beat in the Korean war, now makes Hyundais

Japan - Beat in WWII, now makes Hondas and Toyotas

How long before Iraq is making cars better than Fords and Chevys?

I hope you're not implying Hyundais are better. Although, sadly enough, some are being rebadged and sold as american brands.

Hyundais are pretty damn solid cars these days. Admittedly the last version of the Tiburon looked like a Mustang on bad acid, but in this case I'm comparing reliability, not styling.

...and we never kicked Yugoslavias ass in a war. Sure we bombed the hell out of them, but that was after they had spent several years kicking their own ass.

If you're the type to buy new, then ditch before the warranty ends, then all means, buy a Hyundai. If not, I'd let others be the ones to find out how well they do or don't age.

I do. But, as I've noted in a couple places wrt this, Cinco de Mayo is about getting tanked on margaritas at your favorite mexican watering hole. Not attempting to drunk drive to a movie theater. =(
