The Ghini Abides
Mar. 15th, 2010 03:25 pmThis past week was a week of performances.
Wednesday at Shakespeare Tavern was Two Gentlemen of Lebowski, a Shakespearean retelling of The Big Lebowski. It was awesome. Loaded with Lebowski style insanity and Shakespearean in jokes. There's another show this Wednesday, but it's sold out.
Friday I headed out to Athens Villains Night. It was quite fun. My choice for the scariest costume only took 3rd place: Sarah Palin.
Saturday night was Infected Mushroom at the Masquerade. I was quite lucky and the focus of much hatred for showing up late and avoiding the majority of the awful openers. Infected Mushroom was a blast as always.
Sunday I saw Craig Ferguson doing stand-up. He's funny and quite profane when not stuck with NBC censors. He closed his show lip synching and dancing to "Oops! I did it again!". Watching a greying Scotsman dance around flanked by a tiny white flute-playing guy in leather and a huge black man in a white tux and blonde wig is a first.
