Because today is national pie day

I'm sitting at a table with a strawberry rhubarb pie, a bacon and leek pie, a savory Italian sun dried tomato cheesecake, a tomato basil cheese pie, a blackberry pie, a chocolate banana pie, a chocolate marshmellow pie, a chocolate merengue pie, and for the hell of it, a dozen sublime doughnuts.
