my aunt has a big boot
Nov. 20th, 2009 01:48 amSo my aunt had foot surgery this week. This means that next week, in addition to helping her cook Thanksgiving dinner, I may have to tie her up.
She's supposed to be sitting down with her foot elevated above her waist. According to my uncle she is clomping around the house in her big protective boot, wondering why her foot is swelling up.
Something similar happened a few years ago. It was knee surgery, a walker, and Easter dinner. She was in her walker, trying to MOVE FOLDING TABLES! I had to take her walker away. She stood there in the middle of the room, looking very annoyed with me.
I seem to remember when I had surgery, the doctors orders had to be followed like the word of God himself... I forsee a Thanksgiving dinner where I mock an injured old lady. :)
