Dublin and Beyond
Jun. 11th, 2009 11:39 amYesterday we went to the Jameson Distillery, Tara (where thousands of years of Irish kings were crowned) and a 5000 year old burial crypt.
Today we saw Dublin castle. I'm sucking down an hour of sweet, sweet internets before we head to the airport. Dublin to London to Amsterdam. Any suggestions on what to do there for a guy who's not into hookers or pot?
A few things about Ireland: There are several accents. The only one that gets me is the one where they drop the "h" in words starting with "Th" Tousands of years, tumbs on your hands, etc.
This is a country of pale redheads. A week in the Georgia summer sun and half the country would die of skin cancer.
My 18 year old cousin is a great traveling companion. She's getting a crash course in the dangers of drinking too much just by listening to the groaned conversations of our hostel neighbors in the common rooms in the morning.
