Drank!

Drank is a commercial product, but it's trying to ride on the back of purple drank, a drink made of Sprite and narcotic cough medicine made popular by Texas rappers in the late 90s.  Coincidentally those rappers, DJ Screw and Big Moe, died of a codeine overdose when they drank (little d) too much Drank (big D).

If we look at the back of the can we find out this is a "Relaxed Lifestyle Beverage" with rose hips, melatonin, valerian and B vitamins.  Apparently these ingredients have the ability to relax my "body, mind and soul" and I can use it to "slow my roll".

I don't know what my roll is, or if it's going too fast.  I'd guess that because I'm a white guy who grew up in the suburbs.

The ingredients say it has 2 servings per can, which means 2 mg melatonin, 20 mg valerian, 20 mg rose hips and 200% RDA of Vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12.  My storebought pills of melatonin are 3mg, so that's a similar dose.  Storebought valerian is 450mg a pill and the dose is 3 pills, so this can has less than 1% of a dose of valerian.  This could be because valerian is expensive, or potent.  I think it is because valerian smells and tastes AWFUL.  Seriously, it's like a bottle of cats assholes.  Relaxation does not come from smelling valerian.  Nausea comes from smelling it.

Poured into a glass, it's a dull purple, and tastes like grape soda.  No noticeable relaxation.  I'll go read some comics for a bit and report back.
