How's Your News?
Feb. 5th, 2009 04:39 pmHow's Your News is a show hosted by a group of friends with physical and mental disabilities who all met at summer camp, formed a band and now a show. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are producing their show, which starts on MTV this Sunday.
You can see a highlight reel here:
And them making cheese balls with Amy Sedaris in her apartment...
I was quite surprised that the show managed to be in the "laughing with them" category instead of "laughing at them".
My personal favorite is Bobby, the 50 year old guy with Downs Syndrome who's pretty much fearless, and loves screaming at things.
Here's an edited excerpt from the bio of a cast member: [He] cannot form words with his voice. He communicates “Yes” and “No” with finger motions. ...[he] is also extremely daring, up for almost any stunt which comes his way.
It is interesting how that sounds like a lot of my friends after a tequila bender. :)
Also, about 4 minutes into the video above you get to see "Rodeo Poker." That's where 4 guys sit and play poker at a table in a rodeo ring. They let a bull loose in the ring, and the winner is the last one who stays sitting at the table.
