House Hunt

I'm looking at two very promising houses. Both are nice, and both would require some changes in the long term. I'm trying to get an idea of how much stuff costs.

Has anyone had work done that can give me an idea? I'm thinking things like new carpet, adding a deck, tearing out a wall, redoing a bathroom, etc.
