The big band reworks Presley standards, but in their own distinctive style, and of course backed by the gorgeous ladies of Dames A'Flame burlesque troop and this time with support from El Vez.

I'm running on 4 hours of sleep.

I have a ticket to The Breeders tonight.

Most everyone else is headed to Ladytron.

There will surely be something cool going on after the concerts.

Will I manage to stay awake for any of it...?

I know several people (at least three just on my friends list) who have mothers who are unstable / unbalanced / deranged/ crazy/ completely nuts.

Update: I'm talking about the certifiably crazy types. Hearing voices. Delusions. Hallucinations. The severely mentally unbalanced. The kind of crazy you can be committed for.

I've noticed that I don't know anyone who claims that their father is that crazy.

Now, there are a few ways to look at this:

A. All women are crazy.

B. Equal numbers of women and men are crazy, but a man will hook up with a crazy woman all the time while a woman almost never hooks up with a crazy man.

C. All of the above

I'm thinking B doesn't get mentioned enough. In a lot of cases, yes your mom is nuts, but you should blame dad for hooking up with her to begin with.

Note: I have never met any of my LJ friends crazy moms, so I'm not making specific judgments in your cases. Your input is welcome though.
