geek bible

NASA's Spirit mars rover was supposed to have a 90 day mission, and has gone for over 3 years.  It's currently running over 13 times it's
lifespan.  How does this happen?  It's because their engineers are insanely OCD about building their stuff.

http://workmanship.nasa.gov/lib/insp/2%20books/frameset.html is their pictorial reference and http://workmanship.nasa.gov/ is the main site.

While the limit of my electrical skills is pretty much swapping batteries, reading this is amazing.  It's a handbook of the techniques that have produced some of the most impressive tech of the 20th century.
