The war of the (same) sexes
Mar. 14th, 2007 03:34 pmI get the American Family Association emails. Why? First, because you always want to know what your opponents are up to. Second, they conveniently tell me when particularly sinful programming is coming on TV, so I can set my Tivo.
For months they have been boycotting Ford for supporting The Homosexual Agenda. They keep pointing out that Ford's sales have been plummeting. To me, this is like pointing out how few paraplegics win marathons.
The past 10 days of emails have been rather funny:
First: "Boycott for for supporting the gays! Support the General who said he doesn't like the gays!"
Next: "Ford stopped advertising in the Advocate and Out! The boycott worked! We win!"
Today: "Ford announced as sponsor of the 2007 Motor City Pride Festival! Ford is supporting gays again! Back to the boycott!"
Of course, each of these emails ends with a link to their donation page, because fighting the Homosexual Agenda is expensive work. :)

300 vs 70 million

Everyone in Iran is pissed at the movie 300 for it's depeiction of war against Persians. Many are claiming it was secretly funded by the U.S. government to prepare Americans for war against Iran.
I'm amazed they give us that much credit. I'd bet 90% of americans think Iranians are arabs, not Persians.
