Nov. 30th, 2005 09:33 amMaryland is kinda dull, but not as soul-crushing as Monday was.
My laptop is still dead. A friend in Atlanta has overnighted me some CDs which may rescue it. We shall see. I almost bought a laptop last night, planning to return it before I left on Sunday. I'm guessing the 15% restocking fees they charge on returns was designed to foil people like me.
Last night I found a Macaroni Grill. A glass of good wine and tiramisu for dessert did wonders for my mood. Then I found the liquor store. Several Jack and Cokes in my hotel room did even more wonders and kept me from killing everyone in Maryland.
My friends who are local will be around for the weekend, so things should get better.
