(no subject)

I used to just build up vacation. I'd wind up taking a week off work, and not doing anything. Just sitting around the house. Well, I've started figuring out what I want to do this year, and it's a doozy. I'll have to be creative to fit it all in:

Jan: LA to see leezechka and marieoroumania
Feb: Mardi Gras with Team Blasphemy!
May: PDF or Flipside
June: Italy with the family
July: Transformus
Sept: Burning Man
Oct: PDF again

Most of those are long weekends, but Burning Man and Italy will each take up more than 10 days. Damn.

Carrie, I may have to wait on coming to Seattle to see you. You should come to Transformus with us tho!

misc stuff

I seem to have a trend going on roommates: tiny women who have trouble in the kitchen. Last night Hadley wants to cook fried plantains. I call my Cuban father for advice. Then my brain thinks: roommate with a tendency to burn things + hot oil = scary. She wants to know how to put the plantains in the oil without getting burned. It goes something like this:

Me: Just place them in the oil. Don't throw them in or they splash.

Hadley: ok. (she gets close, gets afraid of the oil, then jumps back and tosses one in)

Me: OW! (nursing my burnt hand) QUIT THAT!
