Communications and transportation have improved in the area, and we were also able to get supplies to southern Mississippi where many horses too sick or injured to make the journey to the shelter at Jackson are currently being treated. Dr. Ann Lecher-Hollis, the veterinarian heading up the Jackson Shelter, reports that because they received the needed supplies in time, the shelter has not lost a single animal brought in!
