1. What's the last non-camera item that you've seen that made you think "Holy shit, that is awesome"?
I get a few of those a week. :) The two cool things I've been drooling over recently are the Sony PSP (for watching videos on, not for gaming) and the Dell 2005FPW widescreen LCD monitor.
2. If you had to work within your current skill set, what is your ideal job and where is it located? (i.e. no magically becoming a tennis star or something wacky like that)
In a way, I already had it. It was working as the newsroom webmaster at CNN.com. Alas, they took it away from me. I would guess working High-Availability unix tech support is my current dream job in the real world. (High Availability is things like banks, credit card companies and other super big systems that can NEVER be down.)
3. Describe (and post a picture if possible) of your favorite vacation so far.
I would say my 10 days in London back in 2001. I don't have any pics of that online.
4. Brains or beauty?
Brains are beautiful!
5. What's the stupidest trend so far in 2005?
All of them.
