Alton Brown, loving son
Oct. 19th, 2004 10:06 amSo, last night I went to see Alton Brown at Borders in Buckhead. He spoke for about half an hour before signing. The highlights:
Alton: "Hey, good to see you all. Who was here two years ago when we did the last signing?"
Several people, including a small blonde lady in her sixties, raise their hands.
Alton: "Hi Mom!"
a few minutes later...
Alton: "Mom, I feel bad with you standing back there. COme up here and take my chair, I'm not using it."
Alton's Mother takes the chair next to the stage. A few more minutes pass...
Alton: "Mom. Get off the cellphone Mom. Mom. Gimme that!"
Alton takes his mothers cellphone.
Alton: "You get this back later!"
