Ok, quiz time. Name the best (or so-bad-it's-good) cover songs and who they were originally by. My list includes:

Bigod 20 - Like a prayer (original by Madonna)
KMFDM - These Boots Are Made For Walkin (Nancy Sinatra)
orgy - You spin me round (Dead or Alive)
Godhead - Eleanor Rigby (Beatles)
Iggy pop - louie louie (Kingsmen)
KISS - Do You Remember Rock n Roll Radio (The Ramones)
Guns 'n Roses - Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones)
powerman 5000 - relax (Frankie Goes to Hollywood)
The pixies - head_on (Jesus and Mary Chain)
Mustard Plug - The Freshman (The Verve. Or possibly The Verve Pipe.)
Devo - Head_Like_a_Hole (Nine Inch Nails)
Atari Teenage Riot - Kids Are United (Sham 69)
Faye Wong - Dreams (The Cranberries)
Bif Naked - We're Not Gonna Take It (Twisted Sister)
Geri Halliwell - Its Raining Men (The Weathergirls)
Utah Saints - Techknowledgy - (part cover, part remix of Iggy and the Stooges 'Raw Power')

As you can see, I have a fondness for cheesy songs covered by less (or possibly more) cheesy bands.

The war in Iraq is bad, but hopefully something this good will come of it:

You can't shoot the cook

I just rented Once Upon A Time In Mexico. One of the extras on the DVD is Robert Rodriguez explaining how to make Pork Pibil, the dish Johnny Depp keeps ordering throughout the movie. I think I need to cook it next weekend.
