I won't go into details, but do to a classic case of bureaucracy triumphing over common sense, our state is spending over $1 million dollars of taxpayer money on a new computer. This computer is to run a very complicated program which currently runs too slowly on the current computer. The sad thing is that the complicated program won't run any better on the new computer. The problem is in the program, not the computer.

This is the same state that can't give me a raise because of a huge budget crunch.

I'm going to steal office supplies now...
