Feb. 10th, 2003 03:57 pmInteresting weekend. Friday was spent at home to avoid traffic and get an early start on the Goodwill booksale. Traffic was nasty, but not hellish. The interesting part came when I was at the traffic light at 10th and Techwood, facing east. A ambulance with lights and siren blaring came through the intersection and hopped on 75 South. Right after it were a pair of police cars with lights going. I assumed they were following the ambulance. Wrong.
Suddenly the police cars are blocking the north side of the intersection. Then I see cops running, guns drawn, towards a car. Cops scream, guns are pointed and the driver is yanked ouyt and thrown to the ground. The light turns green and I get the hell away from there just as three more police cars and a helicopter arrive.
I don't know what he did, but I'm a bit disappointed that he wasn't being busted for being an out-of-towner who can't drive. This weekend I was hoping that would be a capital crime.
