In the beginning, it's almost pure chaos. You can't make sense out of anything.
As you get older, you begin to understand how parts fit together. You still don't know what the big picture is, but you can figure out small sections of it. The more you work at it the more you can see patterns and understand what is really going on.
In the end, a lifetime of hard work will let you see everything and understand what's going on.
Unless, of course, the cat ate a few bits. :)
