Well, I smoked my last cigarette about 5am Sunday morning. Now it's 18 hours later and I'm still on the wagon. Lets see how long I can make it.

My weekend todo list went like this:

1. Go to Wolf Camera. Pick up pictures. Buy big-ass camera bag. - Done
2. Go to Sams Club. Buy a lot of the nicotine patch. - Done
3. Go to Criminal Records. Buy cool CDs and comics. - Done
4. Hang out with Wes, who's a big dork who has been hiding for a week or two. - Done
5. Try to see Big Bad Love, which poodleface is raving about. - Failed
6. Go to Secret Room. - Failed
7. See strange puppety stuff - Done
8. Clean my apartment. - Done
9. Destroy the unbelievers - Failed
10. Rule the world - Failed
11. Make brunch. - Done, sort of. Most of the work was done by other people and then the waffle irons blew all power to the apartment.
12. Quit smoking. - Done
13. Try not to kill anyone. (except the unbelievers) - Done

I also managed to do my laundry and give Lori chocolate martinis and Jake's ice cream for her birthday. All in all not a bad weekend.

You know when someone cooks something in the office microwave? Smells up the whole office for a few hours? Well, someone just cooked a whole lot of bacon.

Here's the basics of the 48 hour film from their rules:

1. Everything must be done between Friday the 21st at 7pm and Friday the 23rd at 7pm
2. No stock footage. Animation and effects allowed if done during that period
3. We will be randomly assigned a genre. There will be an element (character, prop, line of dialouge) that ALL films must share.
4. 5-12 minutes long
5. Can be shot on film or video, but a max of two cameras
6. Finished product must be submitted on VHS, beta or miniDV
7. Must be a narrative. No documentaries. No porn. (I know! What's the point?)
8. All music must be made by the crew. Prerecorded music only if we have the rights.

Still interested? There is an info meeting from 7-9pm at the Fountainhead Lounge in East Atlanta.
We will have to submit the applications and $48 entry fee by friday. We will need a director, DP, editor and actors, (unless we do stop motion or puppets or something strange like that).

Got to love the Waco Brothers:

"on the day of his death I built JFK a shrine
I know just how he felt
I get murdered in texas everytime"

-from the song Red Brick Wall
