I've always considered myself a writer. A slack bitch of a writer to be specific. I have truly great story ideas about once a decade, I think. Well, here is fair warning. One has hit me hard. I have the beginnings of a truly great story here. I'm thinking of it in terms of a screenplay, because it has a kind of ghost story vibe to it. In other ways it is Neil Gaiman style mythology salad. I'll try to post links to it here, so you all can keep up, offer constructive criticism and hopefully bitch when I slack off on it. I've already got the first three or four scenes/chapters plotted out, so I'll post one soon. Until then, here is a preview of some of the stuff:
A fictionalized version of one of my best friends is brutally murdered in a fictionalized version of my apartment complex in the second scene.
There were spirits/demons/gods here before humans ever arrived in Georgia and some of them haven't left yet.
The ghost of the fire that burned Atlanta is still burning.
Did that confuse you enough? :) Hopefully with an audience, I'll actually be motivated to finish this.
