Diet by distraction

So, as the semester progressed and responsibility waned, I started sleeping late. When I have five minutes to go from waking up to leaving for work, breakfast is an afterthought. As a result of this, I started consuming a lot of those pre-made Slim-Fast in a can things as a 10 second breakfast. Lunch would follow, either grabbed downtown or brought with me.

Somehow, I think my stomach shrunk a bit. It got used to having less food in it. I spent less time being hungry, and more time not thinking about getting food. This continued on into the evenings, when I would sometimes even forget dinner. For example, last night I heated up a bowl of bolognese sauce for dinner. I think it is still in my microwave.

The end result? I've lost about 10 pounds. Haven't noticed? Well, it's only about 2.5% of my body weight, so it's not a lot, realtively speaking. I just find it interesting that I've found out how to diet by forgetting about food. Odd.

I've been on that cough medicine before and I couldnt eat when i was on it, like all food was repulsive.

Zinc cold lozenges do that to me. They make everything taste nasty.

I'd blame this on the codeine, but it's been going on a lot longer than the week I've been taking it.
