Came up with an interesting new photo idea at work today. I was leaning on my hand, and when I stopped and fiddled with my puzzle ring I noticed that it had left a perfect indentation of itself on my finger. Brain-gears started turning. Now I want to do shots where I use pressure to imprint designs in skin.

Jewelery is the obvious starting point: rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc. Can anyone think of other good ideas?

suggestions from [livejournal.com profile] gargleoil: chainmail, fishnets, wrist cuffs

i did a really neat shoot once at a place that makes wrought iron gates and stuff. i think it's on chesire bridge or something. they have sample gates and stairwells all over the front of the building, and they made really excellent shadows.

anyway, this brings me to suggesting that you try more complex designs. i don't know where you would find a back-sized piece of metal ornamentation, but it sure would look cool.

One of my plans is to find some kind of material like wire or cable that can be shaped to fit. Then I can make my own designs.
